Scorpions and whales

After a quick night in Honolulu, a night stroll in Waikiki (invaded by Japanese glowing in the dark) I took a tiny plane to go to a beautiful island of Maui. My destination: Lahaina in north west.
I was picked up by Cassey who agreed to be my host. When we got to his house we set up a tent in the yard. Apparently there may be scorpions around and as it is my first night here (as I write) I shall report on any encounters of this type....
There are also two Norwegian girls stating with him, we joined them in the beach for lunch. And as we were eating our raw fish and drinking beer, the most amazing sight happened: in front of us in the distance there was a jumping out of water humpback WHALE! The very thing for which I came to Hawaii has ordinarily happened over lunch.
I will however go whale watching on a boat to take some photos.
We spend the afternoon kayaking in the see and I tried my chances in paddling (standing on a surfing board and paddling forward).
I still have to try surfing.

That's it from Hawaii for the moment. Stay tuned for more news!
